Venue
The pre-conference and conference was held at the McCormick Tribune Center, 1870 Campus Drive, on Northwestern's Evanston campus. The main conference was held in the Forum; workshops and demos were held in the McCormick Tribune Center's lobby, rooms 3-107 and 3-127, and Fisk Hall, Room 311.
Evanston
IDC 2008 was held on Northwestern University's beautiful Evanston campus, located an half hour north of downtown Chicago. The Evanston campus is just steps from the lakefront and was an ideal location for the conference with access to campus resources, walking distance to hotels, nearby shops, and restaurants.
Entertainment
Both Evanston and Chicago have a lot to offer in the form of entertainment, such as a variety of ethnic cuisines, outdoor activities, sports, art, music, and more.
